Some $9,000 in grants were presented to three organizations chosen by the members. Rubye Evans and Betsy Henson, chairmen of the Christmas in October fundraiser, display one of the items to be auctioned. The luncheon is October 25 at the Airport Hilton. All proceeds will support the grants to Cafe Hope, Pennies for Bread and the Abbey, and the East Jefferson General Hospital Infusion Center.
